Don't be disheartened by its appearance or location – this small hotel is in a shopping centre halfway between the Old Town and the train and bus stations. Rooms are decent and well-priced; the waterfront is a 10-minute walk away (and there are free bikes for guest use).

This 65-room property on the edge of the historic Old Town is Koper's only central hotel. Its location was the best thing going for it – it was in need of renovation when we last visited. However, in late 2015 it comes under new ownership, so hopefully renovations are in its future.
